Women’s Endowment Fund seeks grant proposals for financial, safety, health programs

The Women’s Endowment Fund of Akron Community Foundation is requesting grant proposals for programs that support social change for women and/or girls in the following areas:

1.Women’s Economic Empowerment, including entrepreneurship, asset-building and financial literacy programs; programs that create better jobs, better access to jobs, and quality, affordable child care for women; and programs that enable women with children to work more productively.

2.Women’s Safety from Violence, including programs that raise awareness about violence through education; programs that prevent the occurrence and reoccurrence of violence against women and girls; and programs that develop a consistent and coordinated response to violence against women and girls.

3.Women’s Health and Wellness, including programs that raise awareness about healthy lifestyles through education and prevention; programs that support reproductive health and prevent teen pregnancies; and programs that help women and girls address depression and other mental health issues.
